Ah...S.Q.F...they'd probably be my honmeiban if golden bomber wasnt my honmeiban >_> Today i managed to find their Cold Romance 2006 DVD, and it's such a travesty. Song after song after song. No MC. Nothing. Just pure song-performing willpower. I love it. The venue's so small you can see cameramen in the corner recording the DVD. Not a single man in the audience. Backstage footage of a band member smoking a cigarette. It's just beautiful. I love this. I love everything. I. love. it. There's even a slideshow with an instrumental version of Brilliance in the background. That and Cold Romance is just a really really good album...

One song i found interesting was Shiro no Chocolate. Apparently, it's on the CD single for Maria but a) ive never seen it in the digital singles tracklist and b) i cant find the Maria CD anywhere! Except for yahoo auctions. I wanna hear a studio version someday. It sounded really cute. It's a Valentine's Day song. Fitting!

I haven't been as sad but i'll admit, this month's kind of wrung me dry like a towel...

I can't help but think, I wanna draw! Then never drawing...i just cant get myself to put the effort into drawing when i know no one will truly, genuinely care. There's so much art i want to draw and yet i never feel like drawing any of it and over what? Something so pointless...

Drawing just doesn't make me happy anymore, not like it used to. What to do...it's not daijobu anymore (starts to cry) 

While writing the previous paragraph, i realized that none of this really matters. I took a break to stalk Kenji Darvish's blog posts from 2017 for my own pleasure because i havent done that in a while. Last time i was on his blog i was saving really old pics for a scrapped video...Hey. You should do that too. Stalk your honmei's social media. It's always morally ethical.

Cairo 2days document + New years thoughts

This January feels strange and i can't really put my finger on why it feels so strange. It feels like 2024 isn't really over...i still have things from that year that are kind of lingering into this one. That and also i cant process the fact that the Utahiro Kinbaku Yamarutteyo tour is turning 10 this year. Don't do this to me...

I want to be kinder this year. I want to lose weight. But to do that i'll have to prioritize walking ~10k steps daily. I want to have more of the willpower that I need to study. I want to get a perm and maybe get a cute sidepart in the process...all of these are wishes ive had for the past few years, i feel. I don't know. Don't ask me...

2024 sucked academically so i'm hoping this year sucks less. I'm hoping for a happy year full of golden bomber merch and more Kenji selfies that aren't behind a paywall. Hey...maybe i deserve a Marukin subscription for all my hard work. But how would i receive all the physical goodies...i dont live in Japan... 

Anyways! I sometimes go to Egypt in the winter, and this time was no different. I visited Cairo from the 6th to the 8th to see my cousin. 

Getting ready

My bags! One for going out, and one for...ita! It's my itabag that i've showed off before. She's as good as ever. Everything's intact...thankfully...one of the rhinestones on the cheki holder nearly fell off though LOL. Regardless she lives on!

 

I got one of these clear keychains from Daiso a few months back . I found out it can fit not one, but TWO! can badges. I'm a fan...

Before we went to Cairo, we stopped by the mall! Ice cream was good. Simple yet delish combo...french vanilla and choco chips~

Day one

What a dire situation im in...my cousin wanted me to rip her Snake River Conspiracy CD (specifically their Sonic Jihad album) for her and i obliged ^.^

The CD drive was being a bitch. A real bitch. An ultra bitch. Refused to mount whatsoever. Still ripped it though! It's good industrial and i liked Casualty a lot...

MY OUTFIT! We went to the mall that same evening!

We were told the stores would close around 10 or 11 PM. 

It was 9:30 PM when we went.

Tragic...

Despite all the stores being closed, one thing was there for us no matter what...FOOD!

I got some chicken and fries with (strangely gelatinous???) ranch, all with a side of cheese fries to share. I didn't like the cheese fries so my cousin had them. She also had a lime smoothie sorbet thing (pictured). When she gave it to me to try, i dont know why or what happened, but i INSTANTLY bolted my head to the straw and she was like damn!!!!! youve been WAITING!!!!! It was very refreshing though.

Issho Baka once more! \(^^)/ i thought my cousin wanted to watch the full thing...but apparently not which made me sad because she did agree to watching a concert...but we did watch the fourth stageplay. The makeupless kenji one. (p.s to my cousin if youre reading this i forgive you and good luck on your 300 question exam.)

Day two

Lots of dogs, all as stupid as can be. Just delightful...

That evening, me and my cousin went to the mall. Again.

The store we wanted to go to was still closed.

It was 7 pm.

I had honey chipotle chicken.

Now that im home...i feel a bit calmer, i think...i cant wait to use the elliptical at the gym and i especially cant wait to go to daiso again!!!!!!

I hope i can buy more jewelry the next time i go to egypt. 

Ill be honest... theres a lot i couldve blogged about in 2024. I missed a lot of blogging opportunities...but maybe thats why i still blog regardless. Doing it at my pace makes things easier.

I hope i can stay true to myself.
